Since 1987, Charles Meeser, the founder of Centurion Ice Cream, began his ice cream career by building ice cream kombis’. In 1995, he opened what would become an iconic shop not only in Centurion but in the whole of Gauteng. Centurion Ice Cream quickly became a beloved spot where parents and grandparents brought their children for a sweet treat after school, families bought ice cream for special occasions, and schools and churches purchased ice cream for events. Charles’ passion has always been people, and ice cream was the means through which he was able to serve the community and build lasting relationships. Being part of and seeing the legacy of Centurion Ice Cream continue is very important to him.
Charles handed over the baton to the next generation of entrepreneurs and is now acting in an advisory capacity to ensure the great service and products that Centurion Ice Cream has been known for lives on.
As the proud new owners of Centurion Ice Cream, we have dreamt of opening a business for many years through which we want to leave a legacy for our three beautiful young children. This dream became a reality in the beginning of 2023 when the opportunity arose to take over Centurion Ice Cream.
In the current challenging economic environment, the business needs a different operating model. Therefore, the iconic retail shop has evolved to an online store delivering to our customers. In May 2023 the Centurion Ice Cream online store opened for business and a new season has started for both our family and for the business.
May Centurion Ice Cream continue to create memorable experiences that our customers will never forget and may we continue to be a source of enjoyment and happiness in the future.
